Ronald E. Wyatt, an amateur Biblical archaeologist from Nashville, Tennessee, saw the article about Noah’s Ark, which had been published in TIME magazine in September 1960. Ron Wyatt visited the site, and began a decade of research on the site. His interest was aroused, and he decided that the structure deserved further investigation, to clarify whether this structure could be the Biblical Noah’s Ark.

Ron Wyatt found a structure 6,300 feet above sea level. This height was too high to be the remains of a ship from a local flood. The site is over 200 miles away from the nearest sea.
