It is recorded in Exodus 17:6 that Moses struck the rock with his wooden staff, and water poured out. This was no small trickle of water, but enough for approximately 2 million people, for many months, in one of the most dry and arid regions on Planet Earth! There is evidence of water erosion, caused by this massive flow of fresh water.
