The distance from Nuweiba to Saudi Arabia is about eight miles. And the width of the under water bridge is estimated to be 900 meters. Aaron Sen, a good friend of ours, has investigated the steep descent to the seabed at the Southern end of the underwater land bridge. He has also seen the pathway that the Children of Israel cleared in order to cross the Red Sea, leading from the shore, and descending into the sea.
The Children of Israel had to push the stones and rocks aside in order to allow access for their wagons and cattle, and this can be clearly seen on the seabed.
