Crucifixion

The Cancellation Of The Curse Of Death, And The Free Gift Of Eternal Life

The Crucifixion Of Jesus Christ

The Cancellation Of The Curse Of Death, And The Free Gift Of Eternal Life

Crucifixion God said to Adam and Eve after the Fall, in Genesis3:19, “In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, and to dust you shall return.”

After the Fall, God cursed Adam and Eve with death. Previously Adam and Eve did not know anything about death. In the Garden of Eden was the Tree Of Life, and they could have eaten fruit of the Tree Of Life and lived forever, but they chose to eat of the one tree that God commanded them not to

In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve’s spirits died, not their bodies. Their bodies did not die immediately, but their spirits did die, and they were separated from God. When we are born we are all separated from God. This is why Jesus said, in John 8:44, “You are of your father, the devil”. This is why Jesus said we must all be “born again” of the Holy Spirit, as recorded in John 3:3 and John 3;7.

Because Jesus died on the cross we are set free from the curse of death, and, if we are “born again” we will go to Heaven when we die.

This was achieved by Jesus Christ at the Crucifixion, as explained in the following Scriptures:

  • Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
  • I John 1:7, “If we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”
  • Romans 8:2, “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.”
  • 1 Corinthians 15:22, “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.”

What does this mean?

It means we will live forever in a wonderful place called Heaven. We will have brand new bodies that will never grow old, we will be one family, and there will be no tears or death. All our needs will be met, and we will be totally fulfilled. Our lives will be full of love, joy and peace.
