In Genesis 6:16 God had clearly stated that the Ark should have three decks: “You shall make a window for the ark, and you shall finish it to a cubit from above; and set the door of the ark in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third decks” NKJV.
With the use of four different types of metal detectors, thousands of metal rivets were found at the site. Iron was found at regular intervals, and they made a pattern of horizontal and vertical lines ‘criss-crossing’ the boat, demonstrating iron rivets at the levels of each bulkhead.

The Bible does indicate that metals were used before Noah’s Flood: “Tubalcain, an instructor of every artificer of brass and iron,” Genesis 4:22.
Iron rivets were detected by radar in about 5,400 separate places, and showed linear patterns consistent with the shape of the hull of the ship.
Ground penetrating radar proved the boat to have three decks. The top two decks had collapsed, leaving the bottom deck intact, containing 144 rooms. Ron Wyatt found walls, cavities, a door near the bow of the ship, ramps, and two large round ‘tank shapes’ near the bow. The radar scan also revealed four protrusions extending from the stern, which may have been stabilisers.
