At the Exodus, the Children of Israel, led by Moses, were on their way from Goshen in Egypt to Mount Sinai to receive the Ten Commandments.
The traditional site for Mount Sinai is St Catherine’s Monastery in the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt. St Catherine’s monastery was the site chosen by Queen Helena, the mother of Constantine the Great, in 342 A.D.
It is unfortunate that Queen Helena was not familiar with the New Testament, which clearly states that Mount Sinai is in Saudi Arabia!
In Galatians 4:25 the Bible clearly records, “for this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia”, NKJV.
