Aaron, the High Priest, also had to sacrifice a bull for his own sin. But, for the sake of simplicity, we have concentrated here on the “sin offering for the people”, the two goats.
In the New Testament, the goat slaughtered as a sin offering in the Old Covenant is referred to as the Lamb of God, slain before the foundation of the world, as we shall see.
