At the Last Supper Jesus Christ said these very famous words:
“And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body. Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins”, Matthew 26:26-28.
Until recently very few people fully understood exactly how the New Covenant was established by Jesus Christ at the Crucifixion. As far as we are aware, this connection was only fully understood after Ron Wyatt discovered the Ark of the Covenant with the Blood of the Messiah on the Mercy Seat. Even Ron Wyatt was not expecting this!
But the typology is a definite proof of the connection between the Mercy Seat and the Ark of the Covenant.
