The Ark of the Covenant was first introduced in the Bible as follows:
Exodus 25:8-22
A human being is composed of body, soul, and spirit. The Holy of Holies represents the place in our body where the Holy Spirit resides, only in the case of true believers in Jesus Christ.
The Bible confirms this as follows: “Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit Who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s”, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20.

The Ark of the Covenant was permanently kept in the Holy of Holies, the most Holy Inner Sanctuary of the Temple.
