- He also became the High Priest of the New Covenant (Hebrews 8:1).
- As High Priest, He entered Heaven and spilled His Blood on the Mercy Seat in Heaven (Hebrews 9:11,12).
- As High Priest He also fulfilled the Old Covenant, and spilled His Blood on the Mercy Seat of the Ark of the Covenant (Daniel 9:24).
